Maria Carmenza Calpa owns the 2-hectare farm called Ajisito, where she has 8,500 Castillo trees planted. After harvesting the coffee and depulping it, the seeds are placed dry in fermentation tanks for 24 hours, then washed before being dried under sun for 14 days.

Maria’s coffee made it to the Top 30 (out of 800 submissions) in the Colombia Best Cup competition this year. It then moved on to the final 15 live auction, where we won the overall bid in 13th place. Her coffee is extraordinary with lush tropical fruit notes, grape, and maple syrup!
