The Regional Select Program highlights unique profiles found that are inherent to microclimates. Capturing a “taste of place.” Nariño region is in the South-Western corner of Colombia.  It shares a border with Ecuador and the Pacific Ocean.  The climate here is unusual, even in a place as geographically diverse as Colombia: Dry, rugged terrain and dramatic slopes and valleys create conditions that boost the big, sparkling, and juicy quality of the coffees. Warm, humid air collects in the lowlands during the day and creeps up the mountainside at night, which allows coffee to thrive much higher than commonly thought possible, all the way up to 2,300 meters.

This lot comprises coffees from 18 smallholder producers in the municipality of Colon Genova in Narino. Evans Brothers selected this as our favorite lot during the 2018 Colombia Best Cup with Cafe Imports and Banexport.

This lot is full of big juicy acidity, green grapes, florals, and sugar sweetness.
